Why We Need Your Support

“We don’t care who you vote for, only that your vote is properly counted.”

We can only have true confidence in verifying the vote count if the proof of the vote is tangible. Tangible ballots are the best proof of how people actually voted.

Your kind donation will be used to pay for:

  1. Circulating the petition to get the measure on the November 2008 ballot, in order to obtain the hundreds of thousands of signatures necessary to insure that the initiative can be voted upon.
  2. Costs of publicizing the initiative, for physically gathering the petitions, processing them, submitting them to county election officials, and for the expenses related to all of the above.
  3. Similar costs to encourage voters to vote for the passage of the initiative into law once the petition has been successful.
  4. Expenditures to ensure that these tasks are completed on a statewide basis.

This is a hard fight. It is non-partisan. We cannot possibly see this through to a successful outcome without your support. So far as we know, this is the only effort of its sort in the United States this year, which is why, though we have day jobs and families, we are putting time into this. Please help this effort to save the democracy we were given at birth.
